My name is Jesse Galdean and I am honored to be the principal of Friona Jr. High School. I am married to a wonderful lady named Anna and we have one son named Alec. I was raised in the small town of Dalhart, and my philosophy on education is that, learning is a part of life and should never be taken for granted.
The 2017-2018 school year marks my 20th year as an Educator, with the last five as an administrator. Before I began working in Friona, I was the Principal at Lamesa Middle School. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University, during the spring of 1990 and my Masters of Education from Wayland Baptist University during the fall of 2012. My course study consisted of Business, Spanish and Physical Education at Texas Tech. Also, my teaching assignments of fifteen years have been with Lehman, Hays (Austin area), Osceola (Florida) and Estacado (Lubbock) High Schools as a technology teacher and coach.
Serving as an administrator is truly a privilege. The best part of my job is watching the students grow into productive human beings. Being a part of the education process continues to make me realize how blessed I truly am. I am extremely honored to get to serve with such a dedicated staff, hard-working students, supportive parents and caring community. I look forward to all of the new challenges we will face together and to all the successes we will achieve together. Go Braves!
