Personal Information:

My main hobby is music. I have played professionally since the age of 18. I am a former member of the Christian Contemporary Group "Reach Out", which toured nationally and internationally in the 1980s-90s, under the tutelage of legendary producer and GMA president Bruce Koblish. I started playing saxophone at the age of 10, and learned guitar and piano in high school and college, along with other woodwind instruments. I have played, toured, and recorded with numerous artists and bands including Chris Tomlin, Johnny Mulhair, Yield, Texas, Huey Lewis & The News, Dennis Jernigan, Johnny Schell, The Home Cookin' Band, AFK, Eddie Roblinski, Norris “Big Mack” McPherson, Skies Blues Band, Ruben Gutierrez, Billy Townes, Cielo Vista Band, Spur Ride Band, Marv Stamm, Jazz Unlimited Orchestra, Lone Star, Amarillo Opera, Lone Star Ballet, New Mexico State Masterwork Chorus, Bruce Nehring Consort, Babbie Mason, Slick Reynolds, Blackwater Band, State Line Band, West Texas Jazz Band, Bill Case Jazz Band, Kilo Road, Tule Creek, and Kim Boyce. I love recording, playing, and performing music. Currently I represent the online recording group Jazzology as a founder. We record, produce, and release live music featuring artists from around the globe via the Smule app. Even if we are just sitting around with a couple of guitars playing old tunes around a campfire, this is my happy place.

I also enjoy lifting weights, fishing, and hanging out with my family.

When I am not teaching and coaching I love to:

  • Spend time with my family
  • Play guitar, piano, saxophone, and sing
  • Teach the Bible/Preach the Gospel
  • Work with my hands
  • Hang out with my friends
  • Watch good movies
  • Go trout fishing in mountain rivers & streams
  • Go hunting with my sons
